Chat GPT wird ja gerade heiß diskutiert. Ich sehe das Thema einigermaßen entspannt. Selbst manche Autoren, die KI-Lösungen in einschlägigen Foren verteufeln, vergessen dabei, dass sie selbst bereits fleißig mit KI schreiben. Autorenprogramme wie „Papyrus Autor“ punkten nicht zuletzt durch ausgefeilte Rechtschreibhilfen, Stilanalyse und Bewertung der Lesbarkeit. All diese Funktionen können kein Manuskript schreiben. Sie helfen jedoch dabei, Manuskripte zu verbessern. Manchmal jedenfalls. Schreibfehler finden sich dennoch zuhauf und auch der Stil wird nicht automatisch besser.
So ähnlich wird es am Ende vermutlich auch mit Chat GPT sein. Meine Meinung. Auch wenn es zuweilen so aussehen mag, wird Chat GPT keine „guten“ Geschichten schreiben können. Es hilft aber dabei, bessere Geschichten zu schreiben. Ich mag bessere Geschichten.
KI hat längst Einzug gehalten
Ich persönlich habe zwar schon viel über Chat GPT gelesen, aber noch nie damit etwas geschrieben. Neugierig bin ich schon. Ausprobieren werden ich es sicher auch in naher Zukunft. Insgesamt habe ich allerdings den Eindruck, dass sich generell auf dem Markt der künstlichen Intelligenz in den letzten Monaten viel bewegt hat. So habe ich einige Übersetzungshilfen entdeckt, die weit mehr leisten, als die bislang von mir verwendeten. Ich gehöre leider zu der Generation von Bundesbürgerinnen und Bundesbürgern, die nicht Tanzen kann und nur über sehr begrenzte Fremdsprachenkenntnisse verfügt. Schon bei der geschäftlichen Korrespondenz wäre ich ohne ein entsprechendes Tool aufgeschmissen.
Mit einem meiner Favoriten habe ich mich neulich an ein Gedicht in englischer Sprache gewagt. Dazu muss ich vorausschicken, dass ich nicht einmal in meiner Muttersprache brauchbar dichten kann. Reimen schon, aber das reicht bei Weitem nicht. Spaß macht es mir dennoch und darum geht es mir vor allem, wenn ich schreibe. Wenn dann noch jemand Spaß findet an dem, was ich geschrieben habe, bin ich rundherum glücklich.
Versuchen wir es einfach mal:

AI has long since arrived
Personally, I have read a lot about Chat GPT but have never written anything with it. I am curious though. I will certainly try it out in the near future. Overall, however, I have the impression that there has been a lot of movement in the artificial intelligence market over the last few months. I have discovered some translation programmes that do much more than the ones I have been using so far. Unfortunately, I belong to the generation of German citizens who cannot dance and have only very limited language skills. Even for business correspondence, I would be at a loss without an appropriate tool.
With one of my favourites, I recently ventured to write a poem in English. I have to say that I can't even write poetry in my mother tongue. I can rhyme, but that's not nearly enough. Nevertheless, I enjoy it and that's what it's all about for me when I write. If someone then enjoys what I've written, I'm happy all round.

Inspiriert hat mich zu diesen Versen eine eigene Kurzgeschichte - auf deutsch natürlich - mit der ich an einer Übungsrunde im Kreise anderer Autorinnen und Autoren teilgenommen habe. Die Geschichte gefällt mir immer noch gut. Vielleicht werde ich Sie demnächst in meine Kurzgeschichtensammlung aufnehmen. Dazu später mehr an dieser Stelle.
I was inspired to write these verses by a short story of my own - in German, of course - with which I took part in a practice round with other authors. I still like the story. Maybe I will include it in my short story collection soon. More about that here later.
